Raw Cut Comb

For our raw-comb honey, we specially handpick frames from a number of hives. Once removed they are carefully stored and only used when a new small batch is ready to be jarred.

 

When jarring, we carefully cut each frame into chunks of cut comb and delicately insert them into individual jars. Once in the jars, they are smothered with our late-summer honey.

 

The raw honeycomb is perfectly safe to eat and contains antioxidants that are believed to boost your immune system and reduce inflammation.

 

It also has antibacterial properties that can help fight off infections. When you bite into the comb, you get a burst of sweet pure honey in its rawest form, you may get nuggets of pollen, and then the chewy beeswax.

 

A proper showpiece on a cheeseboard, absolutely amazing over ice cream for a true honeycomb hit, or spread immediately over a hot crumpet and watch as it slowly melts in.
